To shorten the cycle time, we built a machine that automatically cuts both sides of two models of connecting rods using a rotary milling machine, one of our products, and a robot.
To reduce cycle time, we used 2A1200 rotary milling machine with jigs for 2 models, 4 sets of front and back machining jigs x 2 models = 8 sets of jigs. Since machining is performed on a turntable, the equipment is more compact than other companies’ dedicated machines.
Transport is carried in and out by a robot, which uses a mechanism that attaches and detaches synchronously with the rotation of the table. The robot’s jaws are automatically replaced to grip the connecting rods of the two models.
