Robotization of Rotary Milling Machine

The normal human removal and attachment of the rotary milling machine has been replaced with robotized removal and attachment.
Although it is thought that it is impossible to use a robot to attach and detach a rotary milling machine while the table is rotating, arc tracking makes it possible to attach and detach the machine while the table is rotating.
In addition, the constant table rotation speed ensures a very stable production volume.

BeforeBefore change

Normally, the operator performs loading and unloading of a workpiece on a rotary milling machine without a break.
Because the workpiece is heavy or difficult to hold, it takes time to attach and remove the workpiece, making it impossible to turn the table quickly.
Therefore, it is necessary to increase the number of jigs on the table to cover the number of production.
AfterAfter change

The robot performs workpiece loading and unloading, eliminating differences in production volume due to operator skill.
Also, the number of jigs can be reduced because the table rotation speed can be increased even with heavy workpieces.
Using two robots, back-to-back machining, which previously required two units of equipment, can now be done with only one unit of equipment.
